Indo Bowling Competition – 24 March 2007 March 23, 2007

Bowling competition??? How was it??
It was fun… fun… n fun….!!!!

Sabtu kemaren 24^th March 2007 kita ada bowling competition antar care group di Kim Seng Starbowl. People yang turn up more than what we were expected. We had 77 people. Praise God….!!!!
A lot of new faces came. WELCOME n THANK YOU to all the bowlers and cheerleaders…!!!
All the people gathered around 4 pm and started to play at 5 pm. 6 lines had been booked, and you know how many group had been formed???
Anybody would like to guess??? Come on n guess……….
If you guess correctly you will receive a gift from the committee, coffee bean voucher. The voucher will expired by today. So please angkat telpon mu sekarang, call, guess correctly, get the voucher, and redeem it by today
Hahaha….. oke d. Let get back to the topic.

Hm….. oya… with this 77 number of people, we were able to form 6 team cowo, 5 team cewe, and 7 team mixed. Each team consists of 6 persons.
All the bowlers very talented and professional. Their scored high. And you know what…????
Ck….ck….ck…….cewe cewe ga kalah jago nya ama cowo cowo. Score mereka almost beat score nya cowo. Cool……!!!!!!!!!

Kita juga ga lupa to thanks to the committee; Delwin and Kim Leong, for their effort and support to make this event really fruitful.

Here are some words from the committee:

Delwin – Sport is my passion and bowling is one of my favorite hobbies. It has been sometimes since we had last bowled together in a big crowd and I had this desire to organize one bowling activity.
It started one night after care group, we had casual conversation with other CG members to organize bowling competition and Kim Leong agreed to assist me. We proposed to Jorry and other care leaders, and our proposal was immediately approved. The purpose of this activity is to fellowship and strengthens the bond between brother, sister and new visitor in the care group. I thought this is going to be easy and straight forward to organize this competition. However, when we started doing it, things are not as simple as what we thought. We encountered few problems and I felt that it was almost impossible to please everyone. This event opens my eyes and reminds me of what our leaders have been doing for us. It must be difficult for them to take care of us, especially the boys. hehe… This made me realize and appreciate more of what have been given to me personally.
After few delays and some late changes in the plan, we finally had this competition going on. Thank God that we surprisingly had about 77 people coming. Things run smoothly and I am glad to see that a lot of people enjoyed the game and had fun together.
On behalf on Bowling Committee, Kim Leong and I would like to thank all participants who made this thing happened. We also would like to extend our special thanks to Jorry, Hari, Melisa Chang, Veronica, and Fiona who had assisted me during the event. Thanks also to all the feedback that I have received to make this event better in future. Looking forward to next event and GBU.

Nah, kita udah baca ni dari pihak organizer nya. Gimana dari pihak bowler nya???
Hehehe…. yes…. kita juga udah ada 2 bowlers voluntarily want to share their thought about this event.

Ai Ai – Surprise!! Surprise!! Banyak banget orang orang yang dateng buat bowling. Ampe ampe ga sempat kenalan sama semua nya. Tapi seneng banget to see many new faces. Thank God for granting us to see the field for harvest. As we continue to be faithful, God will surely bless me with a double strike. Hohoho…. It’s really a blessing – not by might nor by power.
Semua yang diajak ke indo service kek na giving a positive sign. So really expect to see them coming.he…he…..
Overall, I really enjoyed bowling competition, and activities to reach out to the lost ones can be fun as well. Thanks to the committees who have arranged the activities. Jangan lelah bekerja di ladang nya Tuhan, Amin.hohohohoho…… ^-^

Yesterday bowling competition was fun. I could won as male team even thought I scored only 69.hehehe….(lower than ladies -_- )
Also got chance to be a documenter to photo most people in “action”
I also met lot of people, and because lot of people, I confused to differ between our Indo group and non indo group ^-^
But it was fun despite of the confuse

Discovery membership? Apaan tu????

Every quarter hope church Singapore ngadain membership class, n tis quarter diadain tepat nya pada tgl 18 march 2007.Buat apaan si ngadain yg gini ginian? Kayak ga ada kerjaan aja ya? Ato buat ngabisin waktu aja? hohoho…. Wat do u think? Lewat tis discovery membership, kita mau liat lebih banyak lagi Christian commit their life to local church to serve God, untuk diperlengkapi n dipake Tuhan lebih dasyat lagi. During the membership class, di sana akan dijelasin history of Hope Church, and of course dijelasin juga tentang vision and philosophy yang dipegang oleh Hope Church. This quarter, we have Ufong, Veronica, and Melissa Chong yang join tis discovery membership. Yeah…….welcome to 3 of u……..!!!!!!!!! Ada yang mau menyusul????? Ayo…… buruan…….Ups…… ada yang mau testify ni kenapa mereka decide to be a member of the local church. Met baca…………..

Veronica’s Testimony – Why I want to be a Hope Member? Gue mau jadi member di Hope Churh Singapore karena gue mau dipakai Tuhan lebih lagi untuk melayani Dia dan sesama, mau menjadi bagian dari orang-orang yang buat sejarah bukan cuma jadi bagian dari orang-orang yang hanya menyaksikan terjadinya sejarah tanpa berbuat apa – apa, mau jadi seseorang yang ikut serta membangun Kerajaan Allah, mau mengembangkan talenta yang sudah Tuhan berikan dan percayakan buat gue untuk memperluas Kerajaan Allah. Waktu apply buat jadi member yang ada di pikiran gue adalah mungkin ini adalah kesempatan yang Tuhan berikan buat gue untuk melayani Dia lebih lagi. Dan gue harap eloe juga mau jadi bagian dari orang-orang yang buat sejarah bagi Raja kita. Thanks.

Ufong’s Testimony – Why I want to be a Hope Member? Desember 2006 ketika pertama kali datang ke Singapore untuk mencari kerja, saya masih belum tahu harus ke gereja mana. Karena gereja tempat saya beribadah di Indonesia tidak ada di Singapore. Dan saya tahu Hope SIngapore ini pertama kali waktu ikut Care Group (Indo A1), waktu itu hanya diajak teman saya. Jujur saja, saya di Indonesia paling malas ikut Care Group, karena ada sesuatu masalah yang terjadi. Tapi entah kenapa, waktu itu Care Group di sini, saya merasakan satu kenyamanan, rasa kekeluargaan, rasa peduli satu dengan yang lain. Beda sekali dengan apa yang saya rasakan waktu itu Care Group di Indonesia. Setelah ikut beberapa kali kebaktian dan Care Group, saya memilih Hope Singapore ini sebagai gereja saya. Tapi belum sebagai member. Tanggal 11 Maret 2007, saya memutuskan untuk baptis (Water Baptism), dan 18 Maret 2007 saya mengikuti Membership class. Alasan saya mau menjadi member di Hope Singapore karena saya mau berkomitmen pada Tuhan. Karena di Hope Church saya mengalami pertumbuhan rohani yang luar biasa, saya melihat banyak anugerah Tuhan terjadi dalam hidup saya. Saya merasa Tuhan tidak pernah meninggalkan saya, bahkan Tuhan selalu peduli setiap saat. Tuhan benar – benar nyata dalam kehidupan saya. Dan saya yakin ini bukan kebetulan saya bisa berada di sini, tapi Tuhan mempunyai rencana atas hidup saya. Karena itu saya mempunyai keinginan untuk melayani Tuhan melalui Hope Singapore.              

Water Baptism – 11 March 2007 March 21, 2007

This is the day that we celebrated with 4 brothers – their decision to be water baptised! Ufong shared testimony on that day about how God opened doors for him to stay in Singapore and to be water baptised!

Ufong’s Testimony: Good afternoon brothers and sisters. My name is Ufong from the Indo group. Now I can stand here, it’s all because of GOD’s grace. Before today, there were many problems that I faced that almost made me couldn’t join this water baptism. On 23rd February, I returned to Singapore after Chinese New Year and I was waiting for my working permit. But few days later, my company told me that my permit was rejected. I didn’t know what I should do, and my social visit pass would expire on the 9th of March. And if I didn’t get a job before that, I couldn’t stay in Singapore and I couldn’t join this water baptism. After that I began to look for the job again, but until Friday on the 2nd of March, there was no single interview. I was almost hopeless at that time, but the next day, my leader, Yin San prayed for me. The next day, on Sunday, I was introduced by Nelson to his brother and on Monday Nelson’s brother called me and asked me to come to his office for an interview. After the interview, the interviewer told me that he would let me know the outcome on that afternoon. But until the next morning there was no news. I was worried and thought that I would not get the job. So I decided to call the office at 1p.m, and the person said that he forgot to tell me that I had a second interview on that day at 4p.m. Thank God that I finally got the job. On Wednesday, 7th of March, I went to the office to sign a contract with that company and the company applied the work permit for me. At that time I was really thankful to GOD. After that I went to ICA to extend my social visit pass. However, I got new problem that I could not extend my social visit pass. The ICA Officer told me that I must go out from Singapore for 3 working days and then I could come back to Singapore again. I prayed to GOD to help me. Then I went to MOM to try to extend my social visit pass there. When I went there, I was told that I could not extend the pass and I had to go out from Singapore. So, I decided to go to Batam for 2 days, Thursday and Friday. I remembered that ICA officer said that I had to go out of Singapore for 3 working days. I was afraid that I couldn’t enter Singapore again before Sunday. But thank GOD that I was allowed to enter into Singapore yesterday (less than 3 working days) so that I can join this water baptism. Through the things that have happened, I have learned few things:

1. Although things didn’t happen according to what I expected but I want to still believe and be faithful to GOD, because GOD has great plan and He will do something great for me. Like what is written in Jeremiah 29:11, God has the plan to prosper us and not to harm us, the plan to give us hope and future.

2. There is nothing impossible for GOD even though it may seem impossible to us.

3. I learn to practice what is written in Philippians 4:6, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to GOD. So, I want to encourage the brothers and sisters to continue to put our trust in the Lord despite the circumstances. And God will honor you when you want to follow His will, Amen! Thank you

Thanksgiving for 2006 (GIGA) March 21, 2007

God Is Good All the time atau disingkat GIGA, merupakan tema thanksgiving Indo group untuk tahun 2006. Gak terasa juga kalo 1 tahun itu cepet berlalu and sekarang kita udah di tahun 2007 nih. Tapi banyak sekali kenangan indah yang udah kita alami selama tahun 2006 dan yang pasti, tangan Tuhan senantiasa bersama kita. Amin. Untuk mengungkapkan rasa syukur kita, pada tanggal 10 Januari 2007, kita mengadakan thanksgiving night. Pada malam itu, setiap care group leader menuangkan isi hati mereka atas pertumbuhan care group mereka dan juga atas support dan transformasi yang dialami oleh setiap care group member.  What a wonderful family:) Clip presentation yang ditayangkan pada malam itu juga ingetin kita semua memori2 di tahun 2006. Ini semua membuat kita sadar dan mensyukuri kebaikan Tuhan sepanjang tahun lalu. Malam thanksgiving itu diakhiri dengan nyanyian ’Maju Tak Gentar’ yang liriknya diubah untuk menyongsong tahun 2007 dengan penuh antusias dan semangat yang tak pernah menyerah. Akhir kata, 1 kalimat yang dapat merangkum malam itu: God is Good… All the time…

Wah, sungguh menyentuh… Oya, mau tau nggak siapa aja yang dateng? Mari…

Our Christmas 2006 – New Borns!!!

Christmas Ohlala – Dec 2006!!! March 21, 2007

Natal di tahun 2006 nggak sama dengan natal2 yang udah pernah kita lewatin sebelumnya. Ada apa gerangan? Kali ini kita melakukan sesuatu yang berbeda. Nggak cuma pesta dan makan2 enak, tapi kita juga mau bless yang laen, khususnya anak2 dari keluarga yang kurang mampu. So, kita putuskan untuk bekerja sama dengan Hope Centre, non-profit organization, untuk mengadakan acara natal khusus yang diberi tema Christmas Ohlala! Wow, jadi teringat kring kring ohlala nih J

Persiapannya udah kita start dari awal November dan tiap minggu kita bakal ngadain aktivitas2 yang berbeda, mulai dari bagi2 undangan ke rumah2, nyari donator buat kado natal, siapin buat dekor, sampe ke latian nyanyi and nari untuk menghibur anak2 pas di hari H. Jangan salah lho, ternyata banyak juga dari temen2 kita yang mau menyediakan waktu mereka buat jadi volunteer, alias sukarelawan/wati.

Di hari H-nya, walaupun hujan rintik2, tapi tidak menghalangi anak2 untuk dateng bersama keluarga mereka. Banyak sekali permainan yang udah kita siapin, dari face painting, run run run, hop hop hop and yang paling berkesan adalah berfoto bersama ‘pohon natal berjalan’ J.

MC kita pada hari itu adalah Alex and Vonny yang menjadi Mr. Don’t Know and Ms. Know. Ada juga tarian special Ming2 and gank, lagu ciptaan khusus Ai2 & Velly yang judulnya masih diperdebatkan sampai saat ini;), dan juga drama khusus dengan Jessica sebagai si anak kecil yang suka berbohong. Intinya sih udah gede ataupun masih kecil nggak boleh bohong, setuju? Dan hari itu, banyak sekali kado2 natal yang kita kasih buat anak2. Thanks banget khususnya bagi para donator yang telah menyumbangkan kado2 tersebut yang sampe kebanyakan lho. Tapi it’s worth it kok melihat senyum yang terpancar disaat mereka menerima kado tersebut. Oya, dan tidak lupa juga thanks banget  buat para volunteer yang udah rela menyediakan waktu, tenaga dan juga creativity kalian dalam menyukeskan acara ini. Acara ini nggak akan sukses tanpa dukungan dari kalian juga. And yang pasti, thank God yang udah membuat segala sesuatunya berjalan dengan lancar.

Sentosa Trip August 2006 March 21, 2007

We went to Sentosa with many new friends. We took the “tutu” train, taking lots of pictures of ourselves.

We had beach soccer. The guys were competitive! The gals were cheering along. Some went to have fun in water cycling

We had photo taking competition! Each team was to take three best shots and compete with two other teams! We all looked great, yeah!

Indo Group 2nd Anniversary 2006 March 21, 2007

We had a very wonderful time of celebrating God’s goodness! we had a total of 60 friends and members joining in this celebration!
